How to use it

Make a QR code

Choose what the code should contain and fill in the fields; the code updates as you type.

  • URL, Text, Phone, Email, SMS — the usual payloads phones understand.

  • Wi-Fi — scanning joins the network (WIFI:T:WPA;S:…;P:…;;). Special characters in the network name or password are escaped for you.

  • Contact — a vCard 3.0 that phones offer to save as a new contact.

  • Location — a geo: link that opens in maps; Use my location fills in where you are.

Error correction L, M, Q, H lets a code survive 7–30% damage; adding a logo raises it to H automatically because the logo hides part of the code. Quiet zone is the blank border scanners need (keep at least 4). Download a PNG at the chosen size or a resolution-independent SVG, and use Test scan to confirm the code reads back correctly.

Read a code

Drop or paste a screenshot or photo, or start the camera. Browsers with a built-in barcode detector (Chrome on Android and macOS, and others) also read EAN, UPC, Code 128, Data Matrix, and more; elsewhere QR codes are decoded with jsQR. The result is shown raw and explained — Wi-Fi credentials, contact fields, email and SMS parts, map links, and 2FA (otpauth://) setup codes, whose secret stays hidden until you click it.

The page loads two open-source libraries from the jsDelivr CDN (qrcode-generator and jsQR). Codes, images, and camera frames never leave your browser.

Presenting

The code as large as the screen allows, always on a solid light background so phones across a room can scan it, with the address, Wi-Fi network (and password, if you typed one) or contact beside it. Press ⛶ Present (beside Share link) or F to open it; Esc or F closes it and T switches between dark and light. It goes full screen where the browser allows, otherwise it fills the window, and keeps the screen awake. Controls and the pointer fade after a few idle seconds.

Share link → Link options → Open in presentation mode makes a link that opens straight into this view. Browsers only allow real full screen after a click, so a link opened cold shows the view filling the window with a “Click for full screen” button.

Sharing

Share link copies a URL that opens this tool exactly as configured. The content and look, flat and readable: ?text=, ?url=, ?type=geo&lat=…&lon=…, ?type=wifi&ssid=…, plus fg, bg, ecc, size, margin, style when changed. A Wi-Fi password is never put in a link. Logos stay local. For example: qr/?text=Hello&fg=%23b4521f.

Runs entirely in your browser — network requests go only to the services named on this page.
