AI Force

The administration is starting a new military force, so I designed the one I'd expect: the AI Force — a squad of very typical geeks in hero suits, with a nod to Atari Force from the 1980s comics.

The administration is starting a new military force, and it got me wondering what an AI Force would actually look like. Not the sleek recruiting-poster version — the real one. So I made a squad of them in Meshy, and they look like the people who would really sign up: typical geeks, squeezed into black hero suits with glowing circuit lines.

The squad

  • Big Brain — the strategist. Most of him is head.

  • Neckbeard — arms crossed, in two uniforms: the hero suit, and the blue polo and chinos he wears the rest of the time.

  • Pudgy Guy — glasses on, running. Probably towards the snacks.

  • Python Woman — curly hair, flexing a bicep. She wrote the code everyone else depends on.

  • The Teen — grinning, fist in the air, already better at this than the rest of them.

Each one comes in two versions: Meshy’s first texture, and a re-textured, more realistic 4K one.

A nod to Atari Force

The look is a homage to Atari Force, the comic DC Comics made for Atari in the 1980s: a crew in matching jumpsuits striking heroic poses. I made the original crew as well — the AI Force is what you get when you send the same poses to a hackathon.

All of these, and the rest of my models, are in 3-D models.

Aliens in my house

I'm a big fan of the alien genre, so I wanted some funny aliens in my house: greys drinking coffee, on the phone, and doing see-no-evil — modelled in Meshy, printed, and hand painted.

Space: 1999

Space: 1999 was a show I loved watching as a kid, so two of my 3-D models are from it: an Eagle Transporter and a Moonbase Alpha astronaut.
