Space: 1999 was one of the shows I loved to watch as a kid: the Moon blown out of Earth’s orbit, the crew of Moonbase Alpha along for the ride, and the Eagle Transporters — the best spaceships on television. So when I started making 3-D models, a couple of them had to come from it.

The Eagle Transporter

I made the Eagle twice. This one is a single piece, made from one picture. The other version was made from several pictures, and prints as five parts on one plate: the hull and the four leg pods.

A Moonbase Alpha astronaut

3-D model: Multi-image version of the Space: 1999 astronaut, with the backpack modelled.

The astronaut is in the show’s orange spacesuit and yellow helmet. This version was made from several pictures, so the backpack is modelled too; the first version was made from one.

The rest of my spacecraft — an Apollo spacesuit and Blake’s 7’s Liberator among them — are with everything else in 3-D models.

AI Force

The administration is starting a new military force, so I designed the one I'd expect: the AI Force — a squad of very typical geeks in hero suits, with a nod to Atari Force from the 1980s comics.

Aliens in my house

I'm a big fan of the alien genre, so I wanted some funny aliens in my house: greys drinking coffee, on the phone, and doing see-no-evil — modelled in Meshy, printed, and hand painted.
