FS-UAE and WinUAE configuration builder
Build FS-UAE and WinUAE / Amiberry configurations for any Amiga from the A1000 to the CD32 — CPU, chipset, memory, Kickstart, floppies, hard drives, RTG and input — with checks for combinations that will not boot, and identify Kickstart ROM files by CRC and header.

How to use it
To run an Amiga in this browser instead, use the Amiga emulator.
-
Start from a preset — a cycle-exact A500 for games, an A1200 with a 68030 and 8 MB for WHDLoad, a 68060 A1200 with RTG for OS 3.2, an A4000 workstation, a CD32 — or pick a model and change what you like. Changing the model resets its CPU, chipset and memory to that machine’s defaults; your Kickstart, disk and hard-drive paths are kept.
-
Fill in paths — the Kickstart file, floppy images (several images become FS-UAE’s swap list), a folder or
.hdfto use as a hard drive, a CD image. -
Read the checks — they flag configurations that cannot work: AGA with Kickstart 1.x or 2.x, more chip RAM than the Agnus can address (512 KB OCS, 1 MB ECS, 2 MB AGA), Zorro III RAM with a 24-bit CPU (68000, 68010, 68EC020), more than 8 MB of Zorro II RAM, JIT without a 68020, an internal FPU on the wrong CPU, nothing to boot from. Warnings point out things that work but are slow or need extra drivers (RTG on a 68000, 68060.library).
-
Download the
.fs-uaefile and open it with FS-UAE, or the.uaefile for WinUAE or Amiberry (which reads WinUAE’s format). Only settings that differ from the model’s defaults are written for FS-UAE, so the file stays readable.
Identify a Kickstart ROM
Drop a ROM file onto the panel — it is read in your browser and never uploaded. The tool
shows its size and CRC32, names well-known dumps (1.2, 1.3, 2.04, 2.05, 3.0, 3.1), reads
the exec version from the ROM header, and verifies the ROM checksum (all longwords summed
with end-around carry must give $FFFFFFFF). It also recognises encrypted Cloanto ROMs
from Amiga Forever (they start with AMIROMTYPE1 and need rom.key beside them) and
byte-swapped dumps read straight from an EPROM.
Notes
Kickstart ROMs are copyrighted; use dumps of your own machines or a licensed set such as Amiga Forever. AROS can stand in for a Kickstart in both emulators. Option names follow the FS-UAE documentation and WinUAE’s configuration file format; emulator versions do differ in the details, so check the emulator’s log the first time a configuration runs.
Sharing
Share link copies a link that carries the whole configuration — model, chip set, CPU, memory, drives, display, and file names exactly as typed — packed in ?s=, plus ?fmt=fsuae|winuae. Kickstart ROMs and disk images never travel in links; the person opening it points the file names at their own copies.
