Neon Runway
An endless 3D runner on a neon road above a grid: three lanes, curves, hills and gaps, walls to dodge, bars and gaps to jump, orbs and boost pads, a synth soundtrack written as you drive — and a table of your best distances.

How to use it
A night drive on a glowing road that never ends. The track is built as you go from a random seed: it bends and climbs, drops away in gaps, and puts walls, bars, orbs, boost pads and shields in your lanes. The further you get, the faster you go, from about 86 km/h at the start towards 240.
Every track the generator makes can be driven: the tests drive an autopilot along thousands of kilometres of seeds without a crash (it is the same autopilot you see behind the title screen). There is always a lane without a wall in it, the gaps are short enough to clear with time to spare, and hazards are spaced so you can jump one and still change two lanes before the next.
How to play
-
Keyboard — ← → or A D change lane · ↑, W or Space jump · hold Shift (or ↓, S) to boost · P or Esc pause · M sound · F full screen.
-
Touch — swipe left or right to change lane, swipe up or tap to jump; or use the buttons at the bottom (◀ ▶ on the left, BOOST and JUMP on the right). Hold BOOST.
-
Gamepad — d-pad or left stick for lanes, A (bottom face button) to jump, right trigger or X to boost, Start to pause. Any standard-mapping pad works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
What’s on the road:
-
Tall pink walls — you can’t jump them. Change lane.
-
Low blue bars — jump them, or go round.
-
Gaps — the road stops (orange lips mark the edges). Jump before the edge.
-
Gold orbs — points (more for a long unbroken run of them), and they fill the boost meter.
-
Green chevrons — drive over one for a burst of speed.
-
Blue shield — takes one hit from a wall or bar. Gaps still get you.
Boosting is faster and scores double for the distance, but it gives you less time to react. Your ten best distances are kept in this browser.
The sound track is made live by a small synth in the page: a four-chord loop with bass, pads and drums that fills out as you speed up, and a lead line generated fresh every eight bars. It’s mine, not a copy of anything. Low graphics drops the resolution and the far draw distance for slow devices (it switches on by itself if frames run slow), Shake turns screen shake off, and the game uses less of it anyway if your system asks for reduced motion.
